Jersey Boys left Buffalo on a very high note, with the award-winning production helping Shea’s Performing Arts Center set a box-office record. Shea’s officials said Monday that for the week ending May 9, the hit musical grossed $1,511,033, surpassing the old record of $1,486,364, set by Wicked.
On Broadway, Jersey Boys grossed $1,036,665 and had a 94.5% attendance rate for the week ending May 9, 2010. The 34 shows on the boards grossed $21,744,401 for the week, climbing nearly 5% from the previous week.
