'Jersey Boys' breaks box office record at Fisher Theatre

Jersey Boys photoThe Broadway show ‘Jersey Boys’ broke a three-year-old box office record at the Fisher Theatre last week. The smash Broadway hit “Jersey Boys” opened at the Fisher Theatre Dec. 19 and it has already broken a three-year-old box office record.

According to BroadwayWorld.com, the show grossed $1,251,618.00 during the week ending Dec. 27. That’s just ahead of the previous record of $1,225,511, held by “Spamalot” in December 2006.

“Jersey Boys” is a musical about the 1960s rock and roll group Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons. the current run in Detroit is part of a national tour of major U.S. cities.
